Sloane (they/them) is a nonbinary lesbian poet from Missouri. They received their BA in English and Gender & Sexuality studies from Northwestern University, where they had the honor of studying with poets Natasha Trethewey, Averill Curdy, and Reginald Gibbons. They are pursuing an MS in Forestry at the University of Missouri researching pollinator habitat in log landings. They are the founding editor of like a field, an arts magazine whose first issue was published in April 2024.
